On eve of
International Women day (8
th March) a friendly
T-20 staff cricket match was organized between
Royal MCP (Morning polytechnic) &
Super Kings (Evening Polytechnic) of
Mehr Chand Polytechnic College under the dynamic leadership of
Sh. Jagroop Singh, Principal, Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar.
Sh. Sarbjit Singh, Police Commandant Bahadurgarh Commando 1 was the
chief guest and
Sh. Raj Kumar Sehgal, Principal DMS, Jalandhar and
Sh. Nitish Trehan, President Lions Club were the
guest of honours. The motto of the match was
“We for WE i.e. we all together for Women Empowerment”. Royal MCP (Morning) team was lead by Sh. V.K. Sangar (H.O.D. ECE Deptt.) and Super Kings (Evening) was lead by Sh. Sanjay Mahajan (H.O.D. Civil Engg. Deptt.) Super Kings (Evening) won the toss and elected to bowl first. Royal MCP (Morning) scored 134 runs and in reply to that Super Kings (Evening) scored 135 runs.
Super Kings (Evening) won the match. The prizes were distributed by chief guest to the winning team

Sh. Sarbjit Singh, Police Commandant Bahadurgarh Commando 1 appreciated the efforts made at the end of Sh. Jagroop Singh, Principal Mehr Chand Polytechnic College, Jalandhar to arrange such activities at the polytechnic which brings a sense of harmony among the staff members. Staff members and students of the polytechnic college and members of Lion Club, Jalandhar were participated in the event.
