Team of Hackney London visits Mehr Chand Polytechnic College , Jalandhar

A Team  from  one of the  Top Ranking Vocational College of Education in U.K. , Hackney Community College , London  , consisting of  Principal   Ian Ashman  and  Associate Director  Ms. Tayebeh Kazempour   visited Mehr Chand Polytechnic College  today , in order to  sign partnership program  for faculty exchange under UKIERI  ( United Kingdom India Education and Research  Initiative)  , the project sponsored by British Council . Under the  Project , Mehr Chand Polytechnic College has been sanctioned  grant of       Rs. 31 Lacs  for skills development   in the field of Auto -Electricals  and Software  Development . Principal  Jagroop  Singh , Members of  Board of Management   Sh. C.L. Kochher , Sh. Arvind Ghai  , Sh. Sanjay Gupta ,Dr. Satish Kapoor, Prof. A.L. Sangal , Principal  Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma, Prof. Lakhbir Singh   and other  HODs  welcomed  the visiting  guests .  A guard of honour  and   floral   welcome   was presented . In the Conference, Principal Jagroop  Singh briefed about the activities of the  College  and highlighted the areas of  Co-operation between the two colleges . Mr. Ian Ashman  also  presented the details of  Hackney  Community College and  Ms. Tayebeh gave  presentation  on  various  International Projects under taken by them . They also laid the  foundation stone  of new Automobile Lab  under the Project.  An exhibition of Technical Projects  prepared by the students  was also  inaugurated by them . The students presented a  Choreography  and Bhangra to depict the culture   of the Punjab . They  appreciated  all the projects  and  also   guided  the students,   wherever  addition/alteration was required . They also  enjoyed the cultural  program  to a great extent. Tomorrow  the team  is visiting the various extension  centres of the  College running under CDTP Scheme . In continuation of this  project, a team of faculty members of  Mehr Chand Polytechnic College lead by Principal  Jagroop Singh  will also visit the Hackney Community College during the month of August  2014 .
